God Works In and Through High Schoolers

“In all things I have shown you that by working hard in this way we must help the weak and remember the words of the Lord Jesus, how he himself said, ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.'” (Acts 20:35).

Over the past month, students at Activate High School Ministry took Jesus at His Word. Each week, students brought a different item to church for Operation Christmas Child, such as toys, school supplies, hygiene items, and clothes. All of the items were compiled and categorized, and saved for one massive packing party.

Besides feeling like elves in Santa’s workshop, students were able to pack, pray, and even play, as Frisbees and footballs flew across the room. Students wrote personalized letters, packed out their shoeboxes with items, and prayed that as children receive the gifts, they would receive the greatest gift: Jesus.

In total, the students at Activate made 200 shoeboxes to send to children all around the world!

We are thankful for the work that God did through our students, and the work that God did in our students as they learned the importance of giving to those in need. We are praying that the young people of our church would continue to rise up and be a godly, generous generation!
