Final report from Texas for Hurricane Harvey Relief

I just want to thank all the wonderful hard workers that came out to serve in Texas the last 10 months after Hurricane Harvey. God raised up an army of true servants dedicated to helping others and shining the light of Jesus. The fellowship, work, ministry, encouragement, unity, and building up of the church was truly amazing. This is some of the fruit from our Hurricane Harvey Disaster relief:

  • We sent 11 teams to Texas.
  • We sent over 170 volunteers.
  • We helped 10 Churches (9 were not meeting in their own sanctuary). They are now meeting in their building, ministering to their flock and community.
  • We were able to connect many of these churches to each other that had not previously met. They shared resources, fellowship, and encouragement.
  • We restored a home for Crossover/Harvest America. (Had 4-5 video interviews sharing about Harvest Ministries and the gospel.)
  • Had a team at Harvest America of 27, from 3 different churches, evangelizing, serving, and helping with home revitalization.

We are grateful for the opportunity to serve, seeing the enthusiasm in all of our team members, and the gratitude and fellowship of our brothers and sisters in the churches of Texas. Thank you Lord for the opportunity to be the hands, feet, and voice of You Jesus, our Savior and King.

We give thanks to God always for you all, making mention of you in our prayers, remembering without ceasing your work of faith, labor of love, and patience of hope in our Lord Jesus Christ in the sight of our God and Father. 1 Thessalonians 1:2-3

God bless you all,
Pastor Marty
