  • Senior Computer Technician

    Job Summary


    The Senior Computer Technician provides technical assistance, training and/or support in the use of IT hardware and/or software to users.  This position supports organizational needs in the maintenance and operation of an extensive computer system; provides technical support for operating system software, central computer operations, data communications software and distributed processing systems.  The Senior Computer Technician position differs from the Computer Technician in that the senior level has Project Management responsibility from inception to completion, and may supervise Computer Technicians and Help Desk personnel.  He/She serves with integrity, honesty and knowledge that promotes the culture and values of Harvest Christian Fellowship.

    Essential Functions

    Troubleshoot and coordinate resolution to desktop communication problems and remote system connections.

    Monitor trouble call/resolution information; follow-up on and/or report aged calls to ensure timely response.

    Troubleshoot software and/or equipment errors and coach users in correcting reported problems.

    Inform and train users in equipment/software operation.

    Prepare and maintain technical documentation and procedures.

    Install, configure and test hardware and/or software.

    Carry out security administration by maintaining tables and adding/purging/migrating users.

    Coordinate equipment deliveries, software licensing compliance and inventory/asset control.

    Perform preventative maintenance and repair hardware.

    Analyze and make recommendations on response time, training design, user support needs or customer satisfaction.

    Develop and conduct training in operation and use of hardware and software.

    Consult with users on re-engineering business processes and the use of technology, products and services.

    Prepare reports or proposals for service.

    Research, evaluate and test hardware and software products and systems solutions.

    May also supervise Computer Technicians and Help Desk personnel.

    Provide information to supervisors, staff and outside contacts by telephone, in written form, email and/or in person.

    Job Summary


    A Sales Associate I sells products and apparel, communicates effectively with customers, as well as with the other sales associate staff.  Responsible for assisting customers with locating merchandise, explaining features and benefits, and are comfortable approaching customers and proactively answering questions about a product.  A Sales Associate I understands merchandising, product placement and how to display items to make the customer shopping experience flow seamlessly. A basic, to moderately complex understanding of how consumers think and how they choose between alternative like brands and styles.     Essential Functions

    Greet customers and determine what each customer wants or needs. Answer questions regarding the store and its merchandise.

    Describe merchandise and explain use, operation, and care of merchandise to customers.

    Recommend, select and help locate or obtain merchandise based on customer needs and desires.

    Calculate discounts, total purchases and any promotions as applicable to the purchase price.

    Receive and process cash or credit payment, as well as prepare sales slips.

    Count the morning register to make sure the store has the correct amount of money and change for the day, be able to reconcile the cash register upon closing, handle returns and exchanges on any item, as well as count and track inventory.

    Actively look for ways to help customers, place special orders and address grievances.

    Maintain knowledge of current sales and promotions, policies regarding payment and exchanges, and security practices.

    Examine merchandise to ensure that it is correctly priced and displayed and that it functions as advertised.

    Communicate with people outside of Harvest.  Represent Harvest in a positive manner to the public and external sources.

  • Children's Ministry Props Controller - Riverside Campus

    Riverside


    The Children's Ministry is recruiting for a full time Props Controller in the CM warehouse located in Riverside. This position requires the candidate have the ability to perform some labor intensive functions such as repetitive lifting, pushing and pulling of stock items not exceeding 25lbs. Experience in inventory systems is desired as well.

    Job Summary

    A Props Controller designs stage sets and special exhibits, conducts research to determine appropriate styles and discusses expectations with the Children’s Ministry Director for other Ministries.  This position requires practical skills, the ability to multi-task and deal with tasks requiring repetitive motion.  A Props Controller must have the temperament to get along with artistic and technical people and the ability to keep calm under pressure.  Strong attention to detail and good communication skills are essential.     Essential Functions

    •  

    Gather information about exhibit space, proposed themes and content, and timelines

    Fabricate and assemble props from a variety of materials, using hand tools (screwdrivers, staple guns and hammers)

    Examine objects to be included in exhibits in order to plan where and how to display them.

    •  

    Plan for location-specific issues such as space limitations

    •   

    Submit plans for approval, and adapt plans to serve intended purposes

    •  

    Inspect installed exhibits for compliance to specifications and satisfactory operation of special effects components.

    •  

    Provide artistic and practical support to volunteers.

    •  

    Load and unload equipment; move scenery, furniture and equipment during performances; clear the stage and backstage area at the end of the performance.

    Plan, organize and prioritize tasks to ensure that the production continues as scheduled.

    •  

    Store items in an orderly and accessible manner in warehouses, tool rooms, supply rooms and/or other areas.  Examine and inspect stock items for wear or defects, and report any damages.

    Clean and maintain supplies, tools, equipment and storage areas to ensure compliance with safety regulations.

    Receive and count stock items, and record data using computer.

    Job Summary


    The Maintenance Worker I performs entry-level to moderately complex maintenance activities under supervision; such activities include painting and carpentry, repairs of electrical or mechanical equipment, installing new equipment; repairing buildings, floors or stairs. This position must be able to work well on a team; as well as independently, have strong attention to detail, safety awareness, able to follow instructions effectively and deliver results in a timely manner.     Essential Functions

    Use hand and/or power tools; such as hammers, saws, drills and wrenches. Use precision measuring instruments and electronic testing devices.

    Perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure that equipment continues to run smoothly, building systems operate efficiently, and the physical condition of buildings does not deteriorate.

    Assist with the inspection, operation or testing of machines or equipment to diagnose malfunctions.

    Help with the assembling, installation or repairs of wiring, electrical or electronic components, pipe systems, plumbing, machinery, or equipment.

    Cover surfaces to protect them during painting, fill cracks and holes with fillers, apply primers or sealers to prepare new surfaces, apply paint or other finishes to buildings or other structures.

    Receive instructions from supervisors to determine work requirements and ask clarifying questions.

    Help remove fixtures; such as pictures, doorknobs, lamps or electric switch covers and erect scaffolding or setup ladders.

    Move materials/supplies to and from storage by using a hand trucks/forklift, stack in locations using pallets/cargo boards; attach slings, hooks, or other devices to lift cargo and guide loads.

    Maintain equipment storage areas to ensure that inventory is protected and kept clean.

    Develop constructive / cooperative working relationships with others and maintain them over time.

    Represent Harvest favorably to the staff, public and other external sources.
