Angering God

The Lord is gracious and full of compassion, slow to anger and great in mercy.
I'm the kind of person who is relatively even-tempered. But certain things can really get under my skin and make me mad. Most of those things seem to happen on the freeways of Southern California. I don't know why it is, but I take everything personally.
Have you ever had one of those times when you are driving along and you need to get off the freeway? There is an opening in the lane next to you. You politely turn your signal on. Then another driver speeds up, cuts you off, and you miss your off-ramp. When that happens, I am angry
I'm so glad that God doesn't lose His temper, aren't you? Isn't that a frightening prospect? If God were in a really bad mood one day, what would He do? Would He start throwing planets around? Would He speak people out of existence?
I don't know about you, but I am very interested in what God both loves and hates. If God says He hates something, then I want to make sure I don't do that thing. Don't you feel the same way? I don't want to incur His wrath.
There is a passage of Scripture that specifically identifies seven things the Lord hates:
These six things the Lord hates, yes, seven are an abomination to Him: a proud look, a lying tongue, hands that shed innocent blood, a heart that devises wicked plans, feet that are swift in running to evil, a false witness who speaks lies, and one who sows discord among brethren. (Proverbs 6:16–19)
We should look over this list of things that God hates and make sure we are not doing them. And if we are, let's make sure we stop.
