April 18 was an amazing day of fellowship and SoCal Harvest vision-casting!

It was great seeing all of you who made it out to Angel Stadium last Tuesday for the 2017 SoCal Harvest launch meeting.

There were upwards of 300 pastors and church leaders attending and super-excited about this year’s SoCal Harvest with Greg Laurie. This is our 28th year joining together for this evangelistic event. There were pastors in attendance from all over Southern California, including Orange County, the Inland Empire, the High Desert, Los Angeles, San Fernando Valley, and San Gabriel Valley.

There were a number of churches represented that are participating for the very first time, which is exciting, and others who have been with us from the very beginning, which is a huge blessing.

Greg Laurie shared some great words with us about our privilege as pastors and church leaders to not only share the Good News of Jesus but to help and equip others to do the same. The only real and lasting hope for our state of California is the Good News being proclaimed in and from every pastor and every church.

Let me share three takeaway points:

  1. Pray — Take point in leading our churches to pray for the unsaved.
  2. Tell Someone — We have the privilege and responsibility to tell people the Good News of Jesus and also equip and encourage others to do so as well.
  3. Make sure your church is represented (by yourself or someone else) at one of the upcoming Church Involvement Meetings in May and June.

We’ll be in touch with you in the next few weeks to give you the dates and locations of the Church Involvement Meetings. At these meetings, you will receive all of your SoCal Harvest materials (bumper stickers, prayer cards, invites, and more). You’ll also be trained to become a follow-up church.

Call us if you have any comments or questions,

In Christ,

Mike Jonker
