Kids Praise Club
Children's MinistryKids Praise Club is a small group of kids, ages 7 through 12, who are gifted in the areas of singing, drama, and dance.
These kids love to worship the Lord and desire to share their faith in Him. We emphasize growth in the Lord, understanding worship, being a disciplined team worker and being an example on and off the stage by bringing glory to the Lord.
What Does KPC Do?
Throughout the year, we minister at functions here at Harvest. Some of these events include Hallelujah Night on October 31, the Christmas Program, Vacation Bible School, Prayer Awareness Sunday, Harvest Kids' Crusades, and regularly at Rock the World (our children's church service). We also minister at other churches and special events such as Spirit West Coast at Del Mar, the Orange Blossom Festival in Riverside, and Calvary Chapel of Chino.God has brought opportunities for us to record for different projects, like the Harvest Kids' Praise CDs: Rock the World, Hope of Heaven, and various VBS recordings.
What Is Expected of KPC?
We rehearse on Monday nights from 6:30 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. We emphasize good singing technique and spend time learning new songs, skits, dances, and hand motions, as well as sign language. Occasionally, we may need an extra half hour of rehearsal and practice until 8:30 P.M. If necessary, we rehearse on a Saturday before a big event. We try to schedule at least two events a month usually from September through July, or August if we minister at the Southern California Harvest Crusade. Why Be a Part of KPC?
We believe that these are wonderful opportunities to serve the Lord and to grow as a believer and communicator. Each year, we watch in amazement as the Lord grows these children in discipline and in their talents. They become mighty soldiers of the Lord. We believe the Lord calls each child into this ministry. He has a plan to help each KPC kid grow in character and talent.Audition Information:
Every year, on the last two Sundays in May, there is a reminder in the church bulletin for parents to get more information and to sign up their child after service for the KPC auditions. The sign-up table is on the hill in the Children's Courtyard. The audition days are usually the first two Saturdays in June.Note: The two audition days are for both KPC and GNK choirs. If your child has a preference concerning choirs, it would be good for us to know. However, if your child is chosen, we can't guarantee which choir he or she will be in.
