seeing God in seasons

There’s something about the changing seasons that makes one stop and reflect on seasons in our own lives. They seem to come in a variety of different packages; some we like and some we’d rather skip all together. God may bring seasons into our plans that don’t always fit in our parameters, but it is important to remember that the Lord orchestrates the different events of our lives for different purposes. I gazed at the landscape, the trees in full fall color, and, in the distance, the mist hanging over the Blue Ridge mountains. This was the view that captured Ruth Bell Graham and held her a willing prisoner to its beauty for so much of her life. While Billy roamed the world preaching the gospel, Ruth supported him by staying here and praying for him while taking care of their children. read more...
