And Jesus said to them, “I am the bread of life. He who comes to Me shall never hunger.” —John 6:35
Jesus contrasted Himself with the manna that came down from heaven during the time of Moses when He said He was the bread of life. Manna gave daily physical sustenance, but the Bread of Life can satisfy their spiritual hunger forever.
You are the very sustenance of my spiritual being. May all my appetites be nourished by You. I treasure the words of Your mouth more than my necessary food. I come to You for my daily spiritual bread. Amen
