Paul understood pain from both sides. He caused unspeakable heartbreak and tragedy as Saul of Tarsus, the persecutor of the church. As the Apostle Paul, he suffered greatly at the hands of many: he was shipwrecked, stoned, and imprisoned on multiple occasions. Yet he writes the epistle to the Philippian believers about a perfect joy that can only come from God. And he writes this from prison nonetheless! If you're looking for a joy not based on circumstances, this message could change your life.
