Why Did Jesus Have to Die?

The Bible tells us that we have all sinned and that the penalty for our sin is eternal separation from God. It also tells us that God loved you and me so much that He sent His Son, Jesus, to the earth to die on a cross to pay that penalty for us. Pastor Greg explains that no one else could accomplish this for us. That there was no other way is illustrated by Jesus' prayer in the garden before His crucifixion, "My Father, if it is possible, may this cup be taken from me. Yet not as I will, but as you will."
