Chicagoland Pastors to Participate in "Pulpit Swap" to Show Unity for Evangelistic Outreach at Allstate Arena in September
Pastors from Chicago to Libertyville to Swap Pulpits on Weekend of August 7 - 8 in Advance of "Chicago Harvest with Greg Laurie" Outreach
RIVERSIDE, Calif., July 28, 2010—In a show of unity that has been inspired through their work together to host a city-wide evangelistic outreach called Greg Laurie: Chicago Harvest in September, some of Chicagoland's best-known pastors will be swapping pulpits and preaching to each other's congregations the weekend of August 7 - 8.Although 14 pastors will participate in the pulpit swap—including James MacDonald of Harvest Bible Chapel in Rolling Meadows, who will swap with Charles Jenkins of Fellowship Missionary Baptist Church in Chicago—more than 200 churches throughout Chicago and the suburbs are participating in the Chicago Harvest with Greg Laurie outreach. Greg Laurie: Chicago Harvest has been more than a year in the making, and will be held at Allstate Arena over three nights, September 24 – 26.

- Mark Jobe, New Life Community in Lincoln Park swaps with Dan Meyer, Christ Church Oak Brook
- Scott Ziegler, The Bridge Community Church in Des Plaines swaps with Isaias Mercado, The Carpenter's House in Chicago
- Kelly Brady, Glen Ellyn Bible Church swaps with Michael Allen, Uptown Baptist in Chicago
In addition to nightly talks from Laurie, the Chicago Harvest with Greg Laurie will feature performances from some of the top names in Christian music, including: David Crowder Band, Kirk Franklin, Steven Curtis Chapman, Jeremy Camp, Skillet and The Katinas.
