In 2004, Harvest Online was blessed with thousands of stories of salvation, as 3,793 people made decisions to follow Christ after logging onto
www.harvest.org. When people come to faith on the site, Harvest sends them a New Believer's Growth Pack. This free resource includes a
New Believer's New Testament and other items that help new Christians grow in their faith and connect with a local church.
Harvest Online features spiritual resources such as
daily devotions from Pastor Greg Laurie and
live and archived webcasts of Harvest Christian Fellowship services,
Harvest Crusades, and
A New Beginning radio programs. The
Harvest Store equips believers with spiritual tools like Bibles and Christian books and CDs.
Harvest's Web site experienced more than 1.8 million visits and over 112 million hits in 2004. Comments from users and Web stats reveal that people who visited Harvest Online were members of Harvest Christian Fellowship, radio listeners,
Harvest: Greg Laurie television viewers, and random Internet surfers who found the site through search engines.
Ray H., a regular Harvest Online visitor says, "Your webcast has been my primary source of God's Word and, in a way, my church. As a former Muslim living with a nonbelieving wife, attending and belonging to a church is very hard for me. I find comfort and peace logging on every Sunday morning."
More than 18,000 people signed up to become registered users of Harvest Online in 2004. Registered users receive e-mailed daily devotions from Pastor Greg Laurie, special ministry articles, and up-to-date ministry news, absolutely free of charge. Some 30,000 people take advantage of Harvest Online's registered user feature.
Harvest Online also provided people with an easy-to-use way of supporting the work of evangelism. Thousands of people made one-time and regular
online donations, allowing them to provide the needed resources to share the gospel. Shortly after the tsunami in Southeast Asia, Harvest Online quickly generated over 57,000 dollars in online donations, allowing relief work and evangelism to quickly reach the hurting people in Southeast Asia.
Pastor Greg Laurie and everyone at Harvest Online continue to pray for successful outreach on the Web, as we look forward to knowing God and making Him known through new innovations and technologies in 2005.
