WHAT:	Harvest Christian Fellowship and Kountry Folks Homestyle Restaurant to Provide Free Meals for On-Duty Riverside County Police Officers, Firefighters, and their Families on Christmas Day

For the third consecutive year, Harvest Christian Fellowship and Kountry Folks Homestyle Restaurant in Riverside will team up to provide free Christmas day meals to on-duty Riverside County and Riverside City police officers, firefighters, their families. Kountry Folks will stay open on December 25 for the express purpose of serving the meals, given as a gesture of thanks to the men and women who serve and protect the Riverside community.

Available from 11 a.m. – 7 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 25, the meals will be cooked by the staff at Kountry Folks restaurant and served by a team of 30 volunteers from Harvest Christian Fellowship's Shield of Faith Outreach. Shield of Faith is a church-sponsored outreach to all police officers, firefighters, and their families, designed to encourage and strengthen men and women in uniform in their relationship with God.

"We want to show our love and appreciation for the men and women who protect our community each day," said Shield of Faith Director Steve Ballinger. "The Christmas meals we will serve to our local police and fire personnel, and others, are just a small way for us to say 'thank you.'" In addition to the meals that will be provided, Harvest Christian Fellowship will give a Christmas gift package to every officer and his or her family.

Reservations for the meals are not necessary and on-duty police and fire personnel and their families may walk in at any time.
