Harvest Crusades Season Lunch
HEADED DOWN UNDER AND DOWN SOUTH, HARVEST CRUSADES WITH GREG LAURIE MARKS 16TH SEASON WITH GLOBAL OUTREACH
Reaching More Than 3 Million Since 1990, Harvest Events to Bring Top Music and Message of Faith to Georgia, Southern California, and Australia in 2005
RIVERSIDE, Calif., Feb. 10, 2005—Thinking locally and globally, Harvest Crusades with Greg Laurie will head "down under" and down South in 2005 to host events in four cities around the world, including Augusta, Ga. (April 17 – 20), Athens, Ga. (April 22), Anaheim, Calif. (July 15 – 17), and Newcastle, Australia (Sept. 8 – 11). This year marks the first Harvest Crusade events in Georgia and Harvest's second visit to Newcastle. Harvest Crusade events have been held in Southern California for the past 16 years.
"We're excited about bringing the message of the Gospel to new and familiar places around the world in 2005, through the Harvest Crusades," said Harvest Crusade founder and evangelist Greg Laurie. "We'll be bringing great music and the latest technology to each event, but we consider these things to be vehicles for our ultimate goal of sharing a message of hope with each and every participant."
With a trademark ability to present a straightforward Gospel message in a culturally relevant format, drawing on the latest in current events, contemporary Christian music, sports, and technology, Laurie's Harvest Crusade events have drawn more than 3 million people to stadiums and arenas around the world since 1990. Laurie also serves as pastor of Harvest Christian Fellowship in Riverside, Calif., one of the fifteen largest churches in the U.S.
The Orange County Register has called the Harvest Crusades "a formidable, flexible event that has stayed in step with the latest trends in communication, music and current events." (July 10, 2004)
