“To give prayer the secondary place is to make God secondary in life’s affairs.”
—E.M. Bounds
Sometimes we are asked, “What is it that has made the Harvest Crusades so successful at reaching people with the gospel?” Well, obviously it is the work of the Lord and we give Him all the credit and glory for what we’ve witnessed over the years. But humanly speaking, if there is one element of a Harvest Crusade that is more important than any other, do you know what that would be?
It’s not the amazing music provided by talented artists. It’s not the advertising and media materials we distribute. It’s not the mobilization of churches and youth groups—though all of those things play a role. It’s not even Greg Laurie’s preaching that brings spiritual success to a Harvest outreach.
Of all the things we do in preparation for a Harvest event, the most vital is prayer.
As we approach the Anaheim Harvest on August 25–26, we want to keep prayer as our top priority. One of the things we’ve designed for this year’s crusades is called the Prayer Cloud, and you can find it here as part of our nationwide outreach called Harvest America. Whether you are praying for someone who will attend the stadium events in Anaheim or Los Angeles, or someone who will attend one of the hundred of venues throughout the country, we invite you to add their names to the Prayer Cloud so that others can join you in bringing them to God in prayer.
And please be in prayer about all the preparations for the Anaheim Harvest!
