Justin Fant had no idea what to expect when he was invited to attend the Harvest Crusade on Sunday night, but his whole life changed when he walked through the stadium gates.
The 17-year-old Claremont resident was invited to the Crusade along with Caitlin Mikasa (15) and Jennifer Kloster (15) by two friends from high school, Jessica Sanchez (17) and Cailie Mohammed (15). Jessica and Cailie have attended a number of Crusades in the past and have always enjoyed the music and message. “This is a great opportunity to invite our friends out to hear about Christ,” said Jessica.
Justin’s family attended church when he was much younger, but a move from New Mexico at the age of 3 changed all of that. And priorities changed once again last night when Justin came forward to make a first-time decision to follow Christ. “This is what I’ve been searching for,” said Justin. “I feel my future is bright with Jesus on my side.”
Caitlin and Jennifer also came forward tonight to rededicate, supported by their friends Jessica and Cailie. “I’m just not as close to God as I used to be,” said Caitlin. “I want to get back to where I was.”
The group shed tears amid smiles as they ended the night and weekend in their new-found relationships with Christ.
