There are now 200+ plus churches participating in the Greg Laurie outreach September 24-26 at Allstate Arena. Music ministry will be from David Crowder, Kirk Franklin, Jeremy Camp, Skillet, Steven Curtis Chapman, and the Katinas. Admission is free and each night will feature the life-changing gospel message preached by Pastor Greg Laurie. 4,000,000 people have attended these Harvest Crusades outreaches around the world, with nearly 400,000 people making professions of faith.
The Greg Laurie team has been working in Chicagoland now for 13 months and investing quite a bit of energy encouraging the local church.
G3 personal evangelism training. Named after Gideon’s army of 300 soldiers in Judges Chapter 7, teens and 20s from Pastor Greg Laurie’s church in California are teaching young people from Chicago to do personal evangelism. The goal is to have 300 local Chicago area young people trained and actively sharing their faith. There are a few spots still available in August and September. Pastor Greg’s team has developed Impact Rallies to encourage the local church to be both impacted by the Lord and to have an impact on those around them. Remember the Great Commission tells us to “go unto all the world, preach the gospel and MAKE DISCIPLES.” Those attending will get great teaching on the value of the Bible, the power of prayer and some practical instructions on sharing the gospel. Follow-up workers and ushers will be trained in the second session. These sessions are perfect for your men’s, women’s, and home groups and younger people are also encouraged to attend.
Nine of Chicago’s most influential churches are hosting the meetings. Greg Laurie is bringing in Senior Pastors of large churches to teach the sessions. Pastor Pedro Garcia from Calvary Chapel Kendall near Miami will teach the first session in all nine Chicago area churches. Pastor Bob Botsford from Horizon Christian Fellowship in northern San Diego County will teach the second session in those same nine churches. Sessions are free and no registration is necessary.
