“Whoever humbles himself like this child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven. (Matthew 18:2-6 ESV)
The harvest was plentiful in Anaheim on Saturday night. In a crowd so large, it can be easy to overlook the little ones, but our Lord never does. I had the pleasure of speaking with Katelyn, a brand new believer who is looking forward to having her mom teach her from her new Bible. Although little Katelyn was only three fingers old, she was so bright and eager to learn more. Katelyn’s life is a great reminder and encouragement that all parents share a responsibility to train up their children in the way they should go (Proverbs 22:6).
Katelyn’s mom, Stacy, mentioned she came to the Harvest Crusade to make a recommitment to the Lord and find consistency in her walk so that she could provide a more solid foundation for her children. With a three-year-old and teenager at home, she is hopeful to get them both involved in ministry to develop positive friendships and a love for the Lord. Stacy’s decision will have an immediate impact on her children, and I pray that other families will follow her lead and establish their homes for the Lord. The transformation of our nation begins one family at a time.
