“I say to you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner who repents.” —Luke 15:10
There has been much joy and rejoicing in the presence of God’s angels as they recently witnessed God’s mighty work in what has been nicknamed the “City of Angels.” The Los Angeles Harvest on Saturday night saw 50,000 people fill the seats of Dodger Stadium to hear outstanding music and the gospel message. In addition to enjoying powerful music from Chris Tomlin, Jeremy Camp, Kirk Franklin, and the Katinas, the audience heard Louis Zamperini give a portion of his amazing testimony. It was the first time Dodger Stadium has ever seen a lineup like this one!
Being held on the eve of the 10th anniversary of 9/11, it was only fitting that Pastor Greg’s message centered on the hope that can only be found in Jesus Christ. This message obviously hit home in the hearts of many people, as 5,934 came down to the field to make professions of faith in Christ. In addition, 119 webcast viewers made online professions of faith.
We join the angels in rejoicing over those who came to repentance this weekend, and we invite you to do the same. We also ask that you would pray for these individuals as we follow up with them and get them plugged into local participating churches. Thank you for praying for and supporting this historic Harvest in Los Angeles.
