Amplify Rally Recap

Wow.

Did I already say wow? Well, let me say it again!

WOW.

We had four G3 training sessions this last weekend: Friday night, Saturday morning, Sunday at 1 P.M., and Sunday at 4:30 P.M.
  • 13 different churches represented
  • 118 young people trained
  • 51 decisions to follow Christ at Love Park and on South Street . . .

Now, let's talk about the Amplify youth rally August 23.

Between 1,700 and 1,800 people came to the rally; most of them young people. Teams from Calvary Philly took care of the follow-up, and they reported approximately 250 first-time commitments and rededications.

This has been an awesome trip. Steve Wilburn and the G3 team did a great job.

Here’s the recap on the July G3 training:
  • 7 different churches represented
  • 71 young people trained
  • 46 decisions to follow Christ
That puts us at 189 young people trained from 20 different churches, and 97 "on-the-street" salvations with one more G3 session to go in September!

Add those 97 decisions to the group that came forward at the Amplify rally, plus the three we had at the Friday night group session and three from the camp Steve spoke at Wednesday night, and we have had 353 decisions to follow Christ through the youth side of the Greater Philly Harvest 08 mobilization process.

This is a killer program!

You may have heard about the G3 Tactical Guide. It is a one-on-one personal evangelism training resource that was put together by Pastor Steve Wilburn and others from the Harvest Christian Fellowship S.W.A.T. Team (Students With A Testimony).

It was designed by our killer design department at Harvest (Way to go Holly!).

More than 700 of these guides have been picked up by local youth pastors, students, and others who want to become more effective in sharing their faith in Jesus Christ.
