October 1999 Greetings from California! With only seven months to go until Harvest 2000, our first international Harvest Crusade, I wanted you to know that literally thousands of Christians around the United States are in prayer for your great country and this outreach in particular. When I was in Wollongong in May 1999 for the launch of Harvest 2000, it was so great to see such an eagerness on the part of so many believers, who were willing to cross denominational lines to come together for the sake of the Gospel. I remember being at the Harvest 2000 launch at the Wollongong Church of Christ when over a thousand of us gathered and worshipped, studied and prayed together. I especially remember many pastors and leaders coming forward on the night to be prayed for, that they might more effectively proclaim the Gospel message. I was deeply touched by their humanity and openness and I believe God will honour that. 1999 has been an especially blessed year for us here in our U.S. Harvest Crusades. I am confident that this first international one in Australia will be blessed as well. For years it has been my strong desire to come and minister there, and for me, this is a dream come true! Lets all commit ourselves to faithfully pray for it each and every day as it gets closer.
