Kids are us! We have been given the awesome challenge and gift of ministering to God's little ones. Our goal in this ministry is to provide a safe and fun environment where parents feel comfortable leaving their most precious possessions—their children, and kids are excited to come! It is our desire to teach your children the love of Jesus; to help them grow in their knowledge and faith, and to give them the tools they need to build a foundation that will guide them to a lasting relationship.

My name is Vanessa Ruiz. After attending Harvest for five years, I was hired to work here in the Children's Ministry in April of 2004. I love getting to know the children and learning about the Lord and what He did for us. I love watching the volunteers work with the children, helping them to grow spiritually. It is wonderful to see who the Lord picks out to minister to our kids. It truly ministers to me to see what Jesus can do in a life, no matter the age of the person. My favorite Scripture is 2 Corinthians 5:17 "What this means is that those who become Christians become new persons. They are not the same anymore, for the old life is gone. A new life has begun!" (NLT) |
| My name is Kim Valdez. I am blessed to have been at Harvest since 1986; 14 years of this time I volunteered in the Children's Ministry. I was hired on August 22, 2004. I love working with children; they keep me focused on Jesus and show me His love on so many levels. My favorite verse is found in 1 Samuel 1:27: "I prayed for this child, and the Lord has granted me what I asked of Him." (NKJV) Not only did God give me children of my own to love, but He has allowed me to love and pray for all the children that I am blessed to minister to. |

Hi, my name is Linda Goode; I have attended Harvest since 1996. I have worked in the Children's Ministry for most of this time, but was hired as a service secretary some time in 2003. My favorite Scripture is Philippians 4:13, "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me" (NKJV). This Scripture has taken me through many difficult times—with the knowledge that God will not give me more than I can bear. I thoroughly enjoy working with kids; serving in the Children's Ministry is a true blessing to me, seeing so many children coming and going—learning about the Lord. They are never too young to know the love of Jesus; I count myself very blessed to be a part of that. |
| I have been ministered to at Harvest since 1986. Since 1999, my husband, John and I have run the primary spring and summer camps; I also have worked as a service secretary and part time office assistant for since 2003. I have many favorite Scriptures; here is one of them: Colossians 3:22–23 "Bondservants, obey in all things your masters according to the flesh, not with eyeservice, as men-pleasers, but in sincerity of heart, fearing God. And whatever you do, do it heartily, as to the Lord and not to men . . ." (NKJV). I love to work with kids because they are special to God. They soak up all the teachings of the Bible; they aren't afraid to share God's Word with others around them—they tell it like it is. I love being able to be a godly influence to little kids and reassuring them that God loves them. Kids also are the ones who love you no matter what you say or do. They are just full of unconditional love just like our God. |

My relationship with the pastors and people of Harvest started back in the 1980s when my friend and I sang as "Spurr and McNeil"; we would come to minister at Wednesday night Bible studies. I also had the privilege of being a part of the Harvest Crusade by singing in the Praise Band for its first five years. Since 1994, I have directed the Kids' Praise Club. In 1995, I became a full-time employee, working in my favorite area: Children's Ministry. I've always had a special love for children and enjoy writing worship songs for kids of all ages. Psalm 37:4 is my personal verse: "Delight yourself in the Lord and he will give you the desires of your heart" (NIV). I believe there's no higher calling than to teach kids the truth: Jesus loves them and has a plan for their lives! |
| I have been a Christian since age seven; I'm 51 now. I have had the privilege to sit under the wonderful teaching of Harvest Christian Fellowship since 1990; I have been working part time in the Children's Ministry since 1998. My favorite Scripture is Proverbs 3:5–6. I get great joy and great satisfaction working in the Children's Ministry; it is my calling. The Lord is using me to impact children's lives—how awesome! |

I have been attending Harvest since February of 1991. In 2003 I was doing face-painting in Vacation Bible School when Bonnie noticed that my talent was drawing. She asked me to pray about working in the Props Department since one of her employees was leaving; I did, and the Lord led me here to full time work. My favorite Scripture is Philippians 4:4–9. It's truly a blessing to be a part of the ministry at Harvest. All the work is well worth it when I see the smiles and joyful reactions on the faces of children and their parents when they observe the props and decorations we make for all of the different events and projects. |
My name is Karla Janes. After attending Harvest for eleven years, the Lord blessed me with the opportunity to work here at Harvest. I love the awe and curiousness of children. They make me look at my faith through a child's eye, which seems to be new and fresh every week. The Lord has truly blessed me by letting me be a part of this wonderful ministry. My favorite verse is Ephesians 3:20 "Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us . . ." (NKJV)

I found the Lord at Harvest and have fellowshipped here since 2000. I have been working in the Children's Ministry part time since August of 2005. My favorite Scripture is "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding . . ." (Proverbs 3:5 NKJV). I enjoy working face-to-face with children and having constant interaction with them. Working with children gives me the opportunity to utilize the fruits of the spirit such as love, kindness, and patience. There is nothing more rewarding than mentoring a child and seeing their eyes light up when you know you've made a difference in their life. Working and volunteering in the Children's Ministry gives me the opportunity to share my love with young children and teach them God's Word, which is something they can carry with them throughout their life.

My wife Lisa and I have attended Harvest since 1986. We have coordinated camps since 1999 and have run the office on Monday evenings since 2003. My favorite Scripture is Ephesians 6:12, "For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places" (NKJV). I enjoy working with kids because I feel it all starts with the kids; I also have the opportunity to be that example that Christ wants me to be.

I have attended Harvest since 1986. I have worked as a copy technician and supply room overseer since 1997. My favorite Scripture is Philippians 4:13. I enjoy daily devotions in an office setting and working with fellow believers. It's an enjoyable and happy atmosphere.

My name is Michelle Quintanilla. I have been attending Harvest since I was a little girl, and have been actively involved ever since. I love working with children and sharing with them about a loving God who cares for them, and who has a plan for their lives. It was here in Sunday school that I learned about Jesus and asked Him into my heart for the very first time. My life has been changed ever since. When I graduated from high school in June of 2006, I began looking for a part-time job, and the Lord directed me here to the Children’s Ministry. Working here has been such a blessing! One of my favorite verses is Romans 12:2, “And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is the good and acceptable and perfect will of God.”

Hi my name is Ericka Hooper, I have attended Harvest for about 12 yrs. It has been my hearts desire to work in the CM dept. for a long time. The Lord opened up the door. I was hired to work in the Children’s Ministry on October 4th of 2007! I am so thankful that the Lord has allowed me to be part of what He is doing here at harvest CM. I have assisted in Sunday morning service—in the 2 and 3-year-old classrooms for about 4 years now. I have always had a heart to work with children. It blesses me to see children be used by the Lord: 1 Tim. 4:12. I love being a Godly example and teaching kids about the Love of our Father and His ways. I’m excited to be used by the Lord, and to help minister to these children who in return ministers to me also. One of my favorite verses is Proverbs 3:5-6 His plans are far greater then what our plans could ever be.
