Welcome!

On behalf of Pastor Greg Laurie and Harvest Christian Fellowship, I'd like to welcome you to the Harvest Christian Fellowship Singles' Ministry.

Harvest formed this ministry to provide Christian singles with fellowship, friendship, and biblical instruction in the area of singleness. We emphasize the need for contentment, dedication to God's Word, the necessity of serving the Lord, and the pursuit of spiritual maturity. Being single may raise certain questions, along with some challenges. Our hope in this is that the Bible gives us wisdom and direction in the area of singleness, and instructs us how to face those challenges and questions.

I would like to personally invite you to make this ministry your home. We meet on Friday nights for worship, Bible studies, and fellowship, and have various activities planned throughout the year. We look forward to meeting you, so please introduce yourself.

However, we do have one requirement. Since this is a ministry specifically designed for the biblical edification of those who are single, only those who are biblically single may attend. This would include those who have never been married, those who are widowed, and those who have been divorced and are no longer married.*

In Christ,

Scott Stout,
Singles' Ministry Pastor

*Anyone who is separated or going through a divorce is still married. If you find yourself in this situation, please know that along with Sunday services, there are many other ministries for fellowship and study, including the Men's and Women's Bible Fellowships, Harvest midweek studies, and Home Bible Studies.

Teaching and Worship

In Psalm 119:105 the psalmist wrote:
"Your word is a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path."

God's Word is the foundation of the Singles' Ministry. His Word sheds the necessary light that enables us to learn about His promises, plans, and purposes for our lives. We accomplish this through the study of biblical profiles, themes, topics, and books of the Bible.

Each week, we have the opportunity to worship God and examine our lives according to Scripture. This way we may continue to grow and glorify God.

Active Service Opportunities

The Apostle Paul wrote,
"I want you to be without care. He who is unmarried cares for the things that belong to the Lord—how he may please the Lord. . . . And this I say for your own profit . . . that you may serve the Lord without distraction." (1 Corinthians 7:32–35)
While you are single, we encourage you to take advantage of the opportunities that God gives you to serve Him. God gives all of His children spiritual gifts that we should use to please our Heavenly Father. Is there a better time than now?

You can take part in this awesome ministry, and we need your help. We have ministry opportunities available in the following areas:
  • Children's Ministry
  • Thanksgiving Outreach
  • Billy Graham Telephone Ministry
  • Harvest Discipleship Team
  • Mexico Outreach
  • Greeter/Host
  • Event Planning
  • Theatrical Events
As single Christians, these are all great places to put feet to our faith as we allow God to use our hands for His purposes.

If you want to help out in one of these areas, please contact Pastor Scott Stout for more information about getting involved. Please note the following ministry requirements for anyone wanting to serve in a ministry at Harvest Christian Fellowship:
  • Profession of Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior
  • Regular weekly attendance at Harvest Christian Fellowship
  • Completion of the Christian Growth Class for serving in ministry
  • Completion of the Harvest Ministry Questionnaire
More information on these items is available by contacting Pastor Scott Stout by the link at the top of the page, or the Church Office.
