Playing Sports in the Ministry

The shining sun and a perfect breeze set the scene as Harvest Sports Ministry hosted another night of softball at Reid Park in Riverside. With team names like Agape, Saved, Forgiven, Reckon, and Golgotha, this is no ordinary softball league. Harvest Sports is committed to exhorting one another to make Him known, and this is evident as teams gather for devotions prior to game time.

The ministry is more than halfway through the spring/summer softball season, ending on July 27. Prior to the end of the season, Harvest Sports is hosting a women’s only volleyball outreach tournament on July 20. Women’s volleyball is the next opportunity to play sports in the ministry, with that season running August 31 through November 23. The cost to participate is only ten dollars per player.

If you are interested in participating in this event, and are 16 years of age or older, sign-ups begin Sunday, June 23. For more information, stop by the Sports Ministry table on the Patio and get answers to any questions you may have.
