We want to take this opportunity to make sure everyone in the Harvest Community knows that Pastor Greg’s recent interview with Louis Zamperini aired on our A New Beginning radio program this week, and is now available on our website. This special two-part interview is titled “A Visit with an American Hero”.
Louis was an Olympic runner, he is a World War II survivor, and more importantly is a passionate follower of Christ. When people speak of his generation Louis says, “They sometimes call us ‘the greatest generation’. I prefer ‘the hardy generation!’”. Louis shares about his time as an Olympic runner, meeting Hitler at the 1936 Olympic Games, surviving a World War II plane crash, and his 47 days adrift at sea and two years in a concentration camp. It’s an exhilarating story of resilience, rescue, and redemption.
Louis tells the story of how, through Christ, he was ultimately able to triumph over those who subjected him to his darkest hours and forgive them. Please take this opportunity to listen to this unforgettable interview by Pastor Greg—and be sure to share this powerful story of forgiveness with your friends and family, especially those who don’t know the Lord.
